Top-Class Hurdler Never Risk Among Seven Wildcard Entries for Tattersalls Online February Sale

Never Risk winning the Prix Rene Cramail on 21st January 2025

NEVER RISK, recent winner of the prestigious €110,000 Prix Rene Cramail is one of seven wildcard entries to be added to the Tattersalls Online February Sale which takes place on 11th – 12th February. 

Consigned by Ecurie Hugo Merienne, the six-year-old son of leading national hunt sire NO RISK AT ALL has been successful in two of his four starts since joining his current handler late last year. After winning a handicap hurdle at Pau in December, NEVER RISK finished a close fourth in the Prix Pierre Estrem Rey before taking his career to new heights with his most recent victory on 21st January. He is a half-brother to multiple Listed winner and Grade 3 placed LOQUAS and hails from a family of black type winners.

Another exciting addition is proven national hunt black type performer ENJOY D’ALLEN.  In a remarkable career to date, the top-class chaser previously placed third in the Grade 1 Irish Grand National Handicap Chase as well as being placed on multiple occasions at Grade 2 level. The son of NETWORK has started twice in the Aintree Grand National Handicap Chase and finished fourth over the Punchestown banks on two occasions last season for trainer Ciaran Murphy. 

Completing the wildcard additions are WILD EMBERS, a three-year-old son of COTAI GLORY who placed an eye-catching third on debut at Dundalk last month, RED MAIDS, a five-time winning half-sister to Listed winner and Group 3 placed DUNEFLOWER, handicap winner APACHE CANYON, seven-furlong winner BISHOP’S GLORY and lightly raced son of OCOVANGO, SANTORINI GREY. 

The Tattersalls Online February Sale takes place on Tuesday 11th – Wednesday 12th February. The catalogue comprising 137 lots can be viewed online at www.tattersallsonline.com. Prospective bidders are encouraged to join the sale now ahead of the commencement of bidding at 11am Tuesday 11th February with bidding on the first lot scheduled to close from 11am on Wednesday 12th February.
