Listed winning Royal Ascot Prospect Hot Darling to be offered on Tattersalls Online

Tattersalls Online will offer the unbeaten two-year-old filly and Royal Ascot prospect HOT DARLING in a pop-up sale on Wednesday 12th June. Consigned by Amy Murphy Racing, the daughter of Classic producing sire TOO DARN HOT is being offered with an entry in the Group 3 Prix du Bois at Chantilly on 16th June but could also be aimed at the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes on the Thursday of Royal Ascot.

HOT DARLING showed a likeable attitude on debut when shedding her maiden tag at Chantilly on 26 April under jockey Mickael Barzalona. The same combination paired up on her second start in the Listed Prix des Reves d’Or on 15 May when the filly again displayed her willing attitude to win.

HOT DARLING boasts an attractive pedigree being by exciting young stallion TOO DARN HOT whose daughter FALLEN ANGEL scored an emphatic victory in the Group 1 Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas last weekend. She is out of the precocious BOATER who was a seven-length debut winner at two who also finished second in the Listed Marygate Stakes at York. BOATER herself is a daughter of STORM CAT mare CERCLE D’AMOUR and is a half-sister to the dam of this year’s French 2,000 Guineas winner METROPOLITAN.

Amy Murphy commented on their excitement for the filly and the opportunity to present her for sale:

“We are really looking forward to offering Hot Darling on the Tattersalls Online platform next week. She was an impressive winner of her maiden at Chantilly and followed up winning the Listed Prix des Reves d’Or on her second start. She’s a fast filly out of a filly who was placed in the Listed Marygate Stakes and is by Too Darn Hot, the sire on fire  who has had two Guineas winners in the last two weeks. Hot Darling is a filly that will only keep improving, has an extremely good temperament and we definitely have not seen the best of her. She has been entered for the Group 3 Prix du Bois on Oaks day at Chantilly but also has the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot as an option. We are only going to see her improve from here on in and we are very much looking forward to lining her up wherever she runs next.”

Bidding will take place from 10am - 12pm on Wednesday 12th June on the Tattersalls Online website as www.tattersallsonline.com.  For further information, please contact Tattersalls Online by email to tattersallsonline@tattersalls.com or by phoning +44 1638 665931.
