The catalogue for the Tattersalls Online August Sale which is headlined by the Gigginstonwn House Stud Annual Dispersal is now available to view at www.tattersallsonline.com. In the largest sale ever to be held on the Tattersalls Online platform, the catalogue comprises of 172 lots and includes 139 Horses in/out of Training, 16 broodmares, nine stores, four yearlings, three foals and the exciting young sire, Group 1 winning two-year-old DUBAI MILE.

 

The Gigginstown House Annual Dispersal features a quality draft of eight horses and includes the 150 IHRB rated Chaser BEACON EDGE, who also boasts an IHRB rating of 142 over hurdles and is a previous winner of the Grade 1 Drinmore Novice Chase at Fairyhouse. Also included in the draft is the 152 IHRB rated stayingChaser IDAS BOY, a winner of the Listed Midlands National Handicap Chase at Kilbeggan last month and FLANKING MANEUVER who was placed third in the Galway Blazers Handicap Chase on his most recent start over fences at the Galway Festival.

 

Martyn Meade’s Manton Park Stud presents the rare opportunity to purchase Group 1 winning young stallion DUBAI MILE alongside a quartet of well-bred mares. The son of Champion ROARING LION achieved success at the highest level as a juvenile in the Group 1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud before retiring to stud at Manton Park Stud where he stood privately in 2024. The draft includes three mares with foals at foot and offered in foal to resident stallions DUBAI MILE and Group 1 Commonwealth Cup winner ADVERTISE. Sure to garner interest is the eight-year-old SEA THE STARS mare GRAYLING who is offered with a filly foal at foot by ADVERTISE. She is out of Group 3 placed SILVER GREY and from the family of Champion Filly SKY LANTERN.

 

Baroda Stud consign a draft of eight lots which features three foals by Group 1 Phoenix Stakes winner LUCKY VEGA as well as the beautifully bred three-year-old filly USEFUL, by GALILEO and out of the Group 1 winner NICKNAME. The multiple Listed placed GRACEFUL GRIT is another exciting breeding prospect from the draft and is offered in foal to young sprint sire EL CABALLO.

 

James Ferguson Racing consigns four lots in the sale highlighted by lightly raced GULF LEGEND offered with a current rating of 88. By Champion sire DUBAWI, the promising three-year-old is a half-brother to Group 1 Grand Prix de Paris winner FEED THE FLAME as well as the Group 3 winner and Group 1 placed SACRED LIFE.

 

Another notable entry is the Meadowview Stables consigned young mare ANIMOUS. Offered in foal to ARIZONA, she received a significant pedigree update after her half-sister TERM OF ENDEARMENT won the Group 2 Lillie Langtry Stakes at the Goodwood Festival last week. Also with a recent pedigree update is LA FOGLIETTA who heads the draft of five lots presented by Gazeley Stud. The daughter of LOPE DE VEGA is a half-sister to the extremely exciting Group 2 and Group 3 winning two-year-old ARABIE who is among the entries for the Group 1 Prix Morny on 19th August.

 

A quality selection of young stock incudes 9 Stores by sires such as CAPRI, CRYSTAL OCEAN and KINGSTON HILL and features the Kilgreaney Stables consigned half-sister to Grade 1 hurdle winner DAVIDS CHARM who is out of a half-sister to Grade 2 winning hurdler JUNIOR.
