Catalogue Released for the Tattersalls Online March Sale

The catalogue for the Tattersalls Online March Sale has now been published and contains 24 entries which will be offered in the timed auction scheduled to take place from 8th – 9th March on the Tattersalls Online website. The sale features 14 horses in/out of Training from both Flat and National Hunt disciplines, two broodmares, a selection of two-year-olds and two point-to-pointers.

A highlight of the catalogue is the Gavin Cromwell consigned MALINA GIRL, a six-year-old daughter of Group 1 German Derby runner up and smart National Hunt sire MALINAS. She is a winner of four of her starts to date and her form this season includes placed efforts in the Grade 2 Dawn Run Mares Novice Chase and the Grade 2 Coolmore Mares Novice Chase. She is out of the WESTERNER mare WESTERN COWGIRL who is a half-sister to Grade 2 winner and Grade 1 placed ALPHA RIDGE. 

The seven-year-old mare OPTIONAL MIX is a five-time winner for Kilkenny based trainer Eoin Doyle and presents another exciting opportunity, having posted a win and two placings in her most recent starts. She is out of the KING’S THEATRE mare GOT OPTIONS who is an own sister to Grade 3 winning hurdler TRAMP STAMP. 

The DISTORTED HUMOR mare MISREPRESENT will be offered by Ballinahown Stud in foal to multiple Group 1 producing sire DANDY MAN, carrying a full-sibling to the Listed placed COUNTESS ROSINA who ran fourth on her most recent outing at Santa Anita in the Wishing Well Stakes for trainer Jeff Mullins. MISREPRESENT is out of multiple Grade 2 winner and Grade 1 placed HALORY LEIGH.

Lightly raced four-year-old filly BALLET BLANC is being offered by Amanda Perrett’s Coombelands Racing Stables following her promising second-place performance on 1st March at Lingfield. BALLET BLANC is out of the OASIS DREAM mare BOUVARDIA, a Listed performing sister to top class sires SHOWCASING and CAMACHO from a prolific Juddmonte family. 

Kevin Philippart de Foy’s Machell Place Stables will present two lots including the five-time winner CICELY who impressed on her most recent start when winning at Wolverhampton. The four-year-old daughter of THE GURKHA is out of the Group 3 runner up WINGSPAN, a half-sister to Grade 2 winner and multiple Graded Stakes performer INTERACTIF. 

The point-to-pointers catalogued include the Marie Harding consigned five-year-old BLAZING HARTINGO, who ran on promisingly for second place at Kildorrery on 19th February, and Josh Halley’s HOSTILE HOTELIER, a five-year-old son of DOYEN out of a half-sister to top class performer FAIR ALONG who was runner up on his most recent start at Tallow.

The sale has been supported with entries from trainers Mick Appleby, Ed Dunlop, Edward Lynam, Rebecca Menzies, Amy Murphy, Jamie Osborne, Henry Spiller and Tom Lacey.
