93 Lots Catalogued For Tattersalls Online March Sale

93 lots have been catalogued for the Tattersalls Online March Sale on 4th – 5th March which is now available to view at www.tattersallsonline.com. Comprising 66 horses in and out of training, 12 broodmares, 7 yearlings, 5 two-year-olds, 2 stores and a Breeding Right to Group 1 sire ACLAIM, the catalogue features quality drafts from leading trainers and consignors from across Britain, Ireland and France. 

Willie Mullins’ Closutton Stables present an enticing opportunity in HORANTZAU D’AIRY who is being sold with an entry in the 2025 Aintree Grand National. Boasting an impressive career to date, the son of LEGOLAS was third in a Grade 3 Novice Hurdle at the Galway Festival last summer and followed this up with two further black type placings, finishing second in both the Grade 3 Kerry National at Listowel in September and Grade 3 Munster National at Limerick in October. The dynamic performer is also Grade 1 placed over hurdles and is being offered with a current IHRB rating of 144 (Chase).

Dan Skelton’s Lodge Hill Stables are represented by three lots in the sale headlined by Listed winner and Grade 1 placed mare CHERIE D’AM. A daughter of GREAT PRETENDER, she recently won the Listed Lady Godiva Mares’ Novices’ Chase in December and previously finished second in the Grade 2 Jane Seymour Novices’ Hurdle at Sandown. She is offered alongside unraced four-year-old filly FRISKY WHISKEY who is out of Grade 1 winner UNITED and the well-related MON KAPLAIS, a half-brother to Grade 2 winner L’YSER and Listed winning chaser IVRESSE DU BERLAIS. 

Another top-class National Hunt performer catalogued is Grade 2 Dublin Racing Festival winner LILY DU BERLAIS. Consigned by Stuart Crawford’s Newland Stables, the high-class mare also previously finished third in the Grade 3 Kingfurze Novice Hurdle at Naas and presents an exciting racing and breeding opportunity. By SHIROCCO, she is out of LOLITA DU BERLAIS, herself a half-sister to outstanding black type performers BONITO DU BERLAIS, NIKITA DU BERLAIS, LEON DU BERLAIS and BONITA DU BERLAIS. 

Grade 2 placed STATIC is another lot sure to garner plenty attention. The four-year-old son of CLOVIS DU BERLAIS is consigned by trainer Olly Murphy’s Warren Chase Stables and is being sold with an entry in the Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. Twice a winner over hurdles, he also finished second in the Grade 2 Prestbury Juvenile Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham in November. 

There is no shortage of Flat performers in the catalogue including Newcastle novice race winner NORTHERN RULER, an exciting entry from Dullingham Park. The four-year-old son of KINGMAN is out of a FRANKEL half-sister to Group 1 Falmouth Stakes winner TIMEPIECE and carries a current Timeform rating of 89. Also catalogued is last start winner CAUSIN A COMMOTION who added another win to his tally at Wolverhampton for trainer Kevin Ryan on 18th February and LORD KALEO who made an eye-catching debut when finishing third over hurdles at Hereford earlier this month.

The catalogue offers 12 broodmares including MENANDORE, the dam of two winners to date who is offered in foal to dual Group 1 winning miler ANGEL BLEU. Hollymount House Stud present five broodmares in the sale led by EDGE OF THE WORLD, a winning daughter of FASTNET ROCK who is a half-sister to dual Listed winner and Group 2 placed SELINKA, herself the dam of dual Group 3 winning sprinter HIT THE BID. 

Monanny Farm will present a draft of three broodmares on behalf of the Executors of the Estate of the late Paul Callan. The trio includes FLIRTARE, a daughter of OASIS DREAM who is offered with a January-born colt foal at foot by proven Group 1 sire HARRY ANGEL, Listed Prix Hérod runner-up PETITS POTINS, dam of three winners including the highly-rated WONDER KID, and SO DANDY, dam of Listed winner DICKIEDOODA.

There are seven yearlings on offer, most notably a colt from Kildallan Farm by Whitsbury Manor’s young sire sensation HAVANA GREY out of the Group 3 placed KODIAC mare BARROCHE. Other sires represented by yearlings in the sale are ARDAD, ARIZONA, MAXIOS, WALDGEIST and VADAMOS. Four two-year-olds also feature in the catalogue by the sires FIFTY STARS, GALILEO GOLD, SUMBAL and U S NAVY FLAG and two stores by CONDUIT are catalogued.
